Following our announcement earlier this year that we are supporting our Operations Director, Julie, and our friend Sarah from C4BMedia trek Iceland in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, we are delighted to announce that funds raised at their recent FIRE&ICE Ball exceeded £7,000 and are now topping £9,000 “so far” for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
Sarah’s little girl, Cerys, who has undergone three major open heart operations at GOSH and remains under their constant care, was proof enough of the wonderful, life saving, work GOSH do; dressed as Cinderella and performing a beautiful solo dance to all the guests at the Ball, Cerys melted everyones hearts before quietly leaving before the (imaginery) strike of midnight! It was a fantastic night, shared with some wonderful and very generous people in aid of a most worthy and special charity.
Now that the FIRE&ICE Ball is firmly behind them, Julie and Sarah are focussing on their training which is now in full swing, getting as many walking hours as they can under their belts. Check out their dedicated website to find out more, keep up to date with their training schedules and help them top the new £10,000 fundraising target they have set themselves www.goshicelandtrek.co.uk
